The Red Hot Chili Peppers have canceled their appearance in Bali after warnings from the U.S. State Department about safety and travel to the resort destination at this time. The warning was issued in light of the recent terror attack at a Bali nightclub district that killed close to 200 people.

Forgot to write about this girl I got to know in Emy's wedding. She's cute: Arletta Danisworo, daughter of Mr. Danisworo (Architecture lecturer from ITB). She's an announcer with Female Radio, MC now-and-then. She's kinda Vivi SR ITB '91 in a way. No wonder, Vivi used to go steady with her brother Didon. Bandung gurrlll.

Singer-songwriter Craig David will release his sophomore album, Slicker
Than Your Average, on November 19. The first single from the set is
titled "What's Your Flava?", and Chicago-based rapper Twista is
featured on the remix. David recently shot a Willy Wonka & The
Chocolate Factory-inspired video for the song in Prague with video
director Little X.
One of the highlights of the Slicker Than Your Average is David's
collaboration with Sting, titled "Rise And Fall." David explained to
LAUNCH that he initially only intended to sample the guitar riff from
Sting's 1993 hit, "Shape Of My Heart."
"That guy--he's, like, a true professional, a gentleman at the same
time. And it was crazy the way it came about because I watched the film
Leon, and in the rolling credits its got 'Shape Of My Heart,' the
classic, which plays out. I love the guitar melody anyway, so I took
the guitar riff, put it on my computer, looped it up for however long
now, wrote a new top line about the trials and tribulations of an
artist career: 'As quick as you can have success, it can be taken
away.'"
David explained that when he sent the song to Sting to get the sample
cleared, the former Police frontman loved it so much that David was
able to convince him to sing the chorus. "He came back and said, 'You
know what? I love the song. I like what the essence of it is all
about.' So I went back to him and said, 'You know what? It would be
perfect if you could come in just singing the chorus.' And it worked
out that he's, like, the experienced, more wiser one in the chorus,
saying, 'Superstar, you finally made it, but once your picture becomes
tainted it's what they call the rise and fall.' He's, like, 'I'm a man
who's been there, done it, listen to me Craig.' It was like the perfect
duet. It wasn't contrived in any way. It was kinda like all about the
song, using 'Shape Of My Heart' guitar riff, Sting, it just worked out."
David also shared that Sting was very easy to work with and open- minded.
"It was crazy to have him in the booth and me kinda
saying, 'Sting, can you kinda sing it like this because I got a vision
for it to be like....' I'm thinking, 'This man is in his right to
say, 'You know what, Craig, just sickle yourself for a second--just
chill. Yeah, just let me do my thing.'' He was open-minded, allowed me
to express the way I could hear it being sung, and it ended up being
one of the highlights on the album for me, so it was a nice vibe."
David's debut collection, Born To Do It, came out in 2001 and has sold
more than 1.5 million copies in the United States.

Setelah 2 hari-an dibiarkan high-and-dry, yang mana 10/9/2002, gue nelepon Rachel, yang angkat G. Wah parno donk gue! Several phone calls later telponnya nggak ada yang ngangkat, gue parno, gue nyiptain skenario G hire manajer Rachel untuk ngebatasin Rachel, gak boleh terima telp dr. gw! wah pokoke parno abees. Setelah Rachel angkat telpon gue beberapa saat sebelum *transwomaaan* baru gue realize gue parno abes. well, tapi gak bisa dibiarin terus2an gene. gotta tell her how I feel. or else I die with grudges.
Emi & Fred akhirnya nikah (12 Okt 2002; Mercantile Club, WTC 18th Fl.) Resepsinya kayak bule2 kebanyakan: Gala Dinner, speech (father of the bride, bride's maid, groom), toast, potong kue, pindah ke lounge, dessert, Emi's 1st dance, {gue ama Bintang juga slo-dance buat ngebikin gosip Ancika}, dll. Pokoknya bosen lah yang namanya undangan 400an orang. This kind's more intimate. And I should not let my logic talk logically. Just follow your mojo flow. Should've make out w/ Anastasia but was too polite, mmm, nope, too damn by the rule. Pembenaran bahwa "It's not nice take advantage of your friend." HELL it's not taking advantage if BOTH party enjoys it. Next time leave your conscience at the door.

Pulang dari pergi ke mana-mana (antara lain ke Arteri 9 masalah new office place for Akal), pasti kan lewat di Jeger Pade, lokasi syuting strawberry. Kemarin sih juga lewat situ, tapi kayaknya papasan ma Cheeroke, pas buka kaca, mo greeting but someone chinese is inside. 1st thought was her future hubbie, cabuts!
Back to yesterday. Mampir. Yah, chit-chat ma kru di ruang tengah, baru masuk ke ruang dalam salon. Lagi pada bercandaan. She's pretty in red. I was also in red. coinsidence?
She's cuddling resident dog. Can tell she's salting over my presence. Seem's delighted, can see by the glimpse of her eyes. She didn't dare to stare at me in the eyes directly. Those eyes. The brightest stars will be in shame and dim their lights. Compared to...
Out of her silly jokes, she at one time out of the blu hug Sule, and said straight from her heart, that "cewek itu udah ditakdirkan ama cewek." Gak konteks ama becandaan yg lagi dibahas. And she said (as I remembered) that *somebody* missed someone so he visited her, a strong reference to me.
when they started to discuss the production, I know it's time to leave. I'm planning to visit Mr. Tju @ the hospital w/ Bulit. So I wentr outside. And I SMSed. Not long, she came out. Those eyes.
So then, as always, I bluntly excuse myself. Wish I could stay longer. But the situation was awkward, that Strawberry recently was replaced by Sarmila on SCTV, rumors said that it will be replaced by a hit Amanda.
Today I failed to call her.
Yesterday at night I watched "Crazy/Beautiful". It was beautiful. The plot has the chance to fall into cliche, but it didn't. I then felt blue and epiphany.

Kemarin, lumayan lah, bisa ngalihin kesuntukan. Gue dateng ke Forum AMI di Gedung Dua 8, sama Dana Surya (such a sweet naive innocent grrll) with her father (amazingly wise, a PhD and English Literature / Poetry). He pointed out something very interesting last night:
F (Farry) : (on mind gym) So, the mind gym, besides stimulates creativity out of our brain, it can relaxes brains as well, you know, destressing it? Making the stress go away? *yeah wishful thinking*
S (Mr. Surya) : Why anybody want to be stress? If you are in a garden, is it easier for you to find flowers? green grass? or CHICKEN SHIT? It's harder to find SHIT in the garden. Flowers are easier to find in the garden. But people tend to look for harder things to find, like SHIT.
So, Farry.... don't try to find SHIT in your garden. Find flowers and other pleasant things.
p.s.: starting to lose that feeling on Rachel (pronounced: Rahel like in begel {kawat} gigi, NOT Rakel)

I'm stressed out. Rachel turned out to be stressed out too. Her general check-up turned out to be physiologically fine, so there's some issues in her psychological state. That even involves me deepen into a more tangled relationship. or at least the relationship I thought I have.
Back to me. I'm stressed out. Back from a break away to Bandung didn't do me good. Even worse. Bandung had turned into chaotic city. Lots of buildings developed with money as policies. People with money can do whatever they wants. It's crazy. Not to mention jalan layang from Terusan Pasteur to Dago. One of my university buddy, a Bandung residence, said she's gratefull for the development. Well, she's wrong. It's developing with no decent planology and into something chaotic, something irreversible.
Then, today I saw 2 men literally fight, 2 middle aged man. I think their cars collided or something. But they fought. And it was a nasty fight. My taxi pulled over, I opened my window and shouted that they are both elderly and they should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't know whether it's only me GR or it's superstition. I had lunch at Baltik Restaurant in the Passer Baroe area, after I've dropped the ol' tiger in Sandro's garage. I was ordering Nasi Capcai and Iced Lemon Tea. waiting for my food, I was considering whether to call Rachel or not, well, You know, too close for comfort issues. But this girl in front of me, maybe 5 years old, was wearing a white shirt with strawberry picture & text. Another sign? Instictively I called her. She was in the middle of packing. At 3 she will depart for Semarang. She will attend a discussion regarding "Eliana, Eliana" there.

Kemarin seperti out of the blue tiba2 Mme. Ayu Bossard nelepon. Gue lagi suntuk-suruntuk uring-uringan nggak juntrung-suruntung (weladalah gue jadi kayak Seno Gumira Ajidarma). Muter2 lagi di Cikajang mau pulang juga nanggung, waktu itu jam 5.30 sore-an.Terus Ayu nelpon. Dia lagi disinu, udah 3 mg, mg depan pulang. Gue lgs ke rumahnya. Cerita2. And she had visions, which amplify my wishful thinking. Gue gak akan terlalu beberin di sini karena semua belum pasti. Yang mutlak hanya Allah SWT. Summary is Ayu encourages me to go for it.
Pulang dari Ayu 10.40, gue telpon Rachel, lagi di Pizza Hut PI. Gue nyusul ke situ. Ada Pak Hanson, ceweknya, Key, Radit, (duh gue lupa namanya yg biasa pegang Boom, sorry jack) and offcourse the ever-lovely Rachel Maryam Sayidina. Could see stars in her glimpse of stare. Said that she prefer Pizza Hut over Izzi Pizza because it's more intimate, can have private conversation here. Its not mere vain we all discussed about the movie "Signs". Starting to catch signs here and there.

I was a total jerk. I go to Rachel's show for the second time in hope for meeting her. Like always, she's astounding. Then came aftershow coctail in the lobby. After shaking hands several VIP's hands, eventually I bumped into her. She seems happy, asking my opinion which show I liked best, the 1st night or tonight. My logic took over my feelings and I answered that the frist night she was penjajagan, but tonight she's great. What a correct answer. But too damn naive. I should said both were great. That was my first dumb mistake. The second one being too stiff and not warm. I was statued beside her, asking dumb stupid questions regarding the show. Stupidupidupid. I shoulda ask about her ulcer (maag), more personal matters. After awkwardness for 3 mins and she's cheering up the ITBs in front of her (Motuls & Co.) she excuse myself looking for her man. Damn, she was bete'd. I thought that I was having very little self esteem. That she preferred her now-status over me. But later tonite I've realized that that's because maybe I stiffened her. BUT then again maybe I was geer. But think of it: that long from the show's over until we was convened, why her man hadn't with her already. Fuck, I hate it when I made wrong split-seconds fuck ups.
Warning! Fucking with your hand can do serious damage to your self esteem!

Hello Blog, it is certainly not goBlog. Today I was disoriented as always. Tried to escape from problems at hand which need to be solved. Instead I escapaded to "Strawberry" TV series outdoor set, on Asia Afrika, in one of the plants vendor. Rachel was there. But the BI article broke my heart. Well, that triggers my disorientation, but I quickly recovered and keep my cool. Ikut Rachel & kru yang lain ke launching album Imel "Di Ladang Stroberi" OST "Strawberry". When we arrived Imel and her band already played. Hell yeah, its Wewey on accoustic guitar, Rudy Aru on upright-bass, and Arry Aru on drums. (Reminds me of my jam with them, and with Reza Artamevia!) And I met a lot of people I recollected from different phase of my life. Dewi of RSD, offcourse Rudy-Arry-Wewey, Indra Tattoo, etc.
Commenting on the setlist Imel played with her band, it was damn good! And Imel is trully an entertainer. with her solid lounge to wedding experience, she made me and maybe other audience fall in love with Strawberry! well, maybe that's just me. The set enhanced my inner feelings. Sule, Rachel and others departed back to Senayan, but I stayed. I made a preliminary informal proposal for Strawberry's website development. When I was introduced to the boss of Indigo I had digested more than I can take and I gestured rather impolite. Better work on that next time.
At 6 I took a cab and head for Ratu Plaza. I am having a meeting to team up for Realta Kencana project with Pradi, Bullit & Didiek. It took place at Polaris.
Glad to curhat again!

Attending weekend seminar of one of the leading Network Marketing. Boy, talking about gloryfing financial freedom. I just bought the ticket and see what happened inside Istora for 3 days. And what I felt especially in the beginning was very awkward. People singing, dancing and clapping hands to their colleague who was more opportunate and advanced in ranks. But I think that's the only way they value effort, hardwork & realized dreams, at least physically appreciate the values.
My sponsor / upline / whatever constantly instilled the benefits of joining the cult, sometimes excessively and in points where more is too much. But I get his eagerness to enlist me. Well, I'm just a statistic to him for his credits. Darn, I prejudiced again.
Looking forward to buy it's tools / events admissions / anything. Right now I'm just plain broke. Event spent my telephone bill's money to buy for the seminar, let alone being lent 175.

I thought I would've blown up my head earlier today... for a lot of things that was good for me all happening at the same time, so much they exceeds my capacity to absorb and get the hold of all. But now I'm in a calm manner.
Guess I should take good things one at a time.

Font Aid II: September Eleven The September Eleven font was assembled in the days following the horrible events of September 11, 2001. Type designers were asked to submit a glyph (specifically a question mark) to express their feelings of the tragedy. The final compiled font that you now have is the result of this call. All proceeds from the sale of this font are being donated to the Red Cross and victim relief efforts.
It's astonishing that some people care about something enough to make them do what they can in their capacity to help one another.

Just listened to Bad Religion's The Process of Belief. The new album. Mr. Brett joins back into the band, but Brian Baker stays (consists of 6 members?) Bobby Schayer is replaced by Brooks Wackerman behind the drum kit (medical reason). The power's back on - in contrary of their previous album (New America) which emphasized on melody - but without sacrificing the well-knowned-bad-religion-harmony. Though I've got full album's MP3 I still intend to buy the CD. Good stuff.
Released old year 2001 and welcomed new year 2002 in Sentul, Bogor, last night. My former office SimComm organized an event there, supposedly to be a cultural event, an attempt to mix between east and west culture. Kendangs and saronengs merges with turntables and G3 powerbooks. DKSB and Andi Ayunir with famous DJs Anton, Romy, Naro, Denny, Morten and Steven. Jaipong dancers with clubhoppers. The noble cultural cause unfortunately IMHO just floats on the surface. Nice work though, my salutes goes to Anto and the gank, also to Demajors.
